When I am not working or spending time with my family, I mainly take “care of my soul”. In particular, I regularly practice meditation and Hatha Yoga, go for long walks in nature and write poems.
These activities remind me everyday of the beauty, the power and the mystery of life, which can only be touched by going beyond the intellectual sphere. My beloved and deceased math school teacher, Monsieur Pechoux, once came into my dreams and left a note on my math book saying: “It’s all blabla. Truth does not lie in a mathematical equation, but in the beauty of a poem.”
His words deeply resonate with me. I believe that life is a work of art, not a scientific model. If you want to experience it fully, you need to leave your mind behind.
